A Beautiful Summer Wedding at Hancock Shaker Village
Rebecca and Austin’s love story began three years ago when they met at work. Rebecca worked as an Event Planner for Savory Harvest Catering, while Austin was a chef. Although both felt an instant connection, it took some effort from both sides to make it happen. Rebecca initially thought Austin was younger than he was, and Austin believed she was unavailable. But after six months of dating, they realized their love was meant to be and got engaged nine months later. They took their time planning their wedding day to ensure it was perfect.
The couple tied the knot on September 20th, 2014, at the scenic Hancock Shaker Village. Despite a gloomy start to the day, the weather cleared up, and the sun shone brightly as they arrived at the venue. They had their first look in the apple orchards away from the prying eyes of guests. However, during the photo session, Austin got stung by a bee, and his eye swelled shut. The wedding party had to improvise for the rest of the pictures until they managed to get the swelling down.
The ceremony took place under two apple trees, overlooking the round stone barn, with close friends and family in attendance. Austin’s older officiated the ceremony, making it even more special for the couple
When it was time for dinner, guests found their seats under bulb lighting and vintage umbrellas shipped from Seattle, Washington. The wedding party made their entrance into the tent with favorite songs picked by the couple. The most magical moment of the day was their first dance as a married couple surrounded by their loved ones. It was a perfect moment that they will cherish for the rest of their lives.
