James & Amanda at Gedney Farm
There’s something magical about a fall wedding, especially when it takes place in the Berkshires. James and Amanda, a couple from New Orleans, chose Gedney Farm in New Marlborough, MA, as the destination for their big day.
Gedney Farm Wedding
The day began with the bride and groom spending the morning laughing and preparing for the ceremony. The farm was a stunning backdrop, with the autumn colors painting the trees with bright yellows and reds. As their guests arrived, they were greeted in the courtyard at Gedney Farm with cider and yard games, setting the tone for a fun and festive event.
The ceremony took place on a knoll up the hill from the courtyard. The Rosamund Trio played as the bridal party made their way to the site, and James and Amanda exchanged vows under an ancient cherry tree. It was a perfect ceremony, and the newlyweds will remember it fondly for years to come.
After the ceremony, guests made their way back down the hill for a cocktail hour, complete with a fully catered meal from the folks at Gedney Farm. Dinner was a farm-to-table affair, with James and Amanda’s loved ones giving speeches and toasts throughout the meal. Once the dancing began, the DJ kept the party going, though things did get a little wild at times. Guests were able to take a break from the dance floor by having some fun in the photo booth downstairs.
As the night came to an end, popcorn was handed out, and guests had some light snacks and conversations. It was a perfect ending to a perfect day.
