Meg & Rob Tie the Knot
Meg and Rob’s wedding at The Mount in the Berkshires was a truly elegant event. The ceremony was held outside in the exquisite French Flower Garden, inspired by the gardens at Versailles. After the ceremony, their guests were invited to enjoy cocktails in the intimate Italian Garden, where they mingled and celebrated the happy couple.
As the sun began to set, guests were then led up to the main house for dinner and dancing. Dinner was on the expansive terrace overlooking The Mount’s meticulously manicured property and the mountains beyond. The beautiful setting of the estate and the elegant decoration and arrangements made the day perfect and unforgettable.
Weddings at the Mount
The Mount is a country house in Lenox, Massachusetts, the home of noted American author Edith Wharton. Exchange vows and mingle with loved ones against the backdrop of The Mount’s colorful, award-winning gardens and the elegant interior of Edith Wharton’s historic mansion. Spanning nearly 50 acres, the spectacular estate is the perfect setting for an unforgettable wedding. During your event, the entire estate is closed to the public so your guests can explore the house and gardens.
For your wedding at the Mount, choose from the exquisite French Flower Garden, or the intimate Italian Garden. After your ceremony you can host cocktails throughout the mansion and on the expansive terrace overlooking The Mount’s manicured property. Your guests are invited to wander through the exhibits on the mansion’s third floor.
The Mount can host up to 250 guests for dinner and dancing on their expansive tent site near the renovated Stable. They also offer the 1902 Stable as a venue for rehearsal dinners, after parties and other special events. The Mount also specializes in bridesmaid and groomsmen gifts, wedding favors, and personalized hotel welcome bags for your guests and family.
The estate, located in The Berkshires, is open to the public. The property was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1971.
