Avra & Evans’ Wedding at the Gardens
Weddings are a celebration of love and the union between two people. Avra & Evans were no exception to this as they exchanged their vows at the beautiful Berkshire Botanical Gardens. Their love story began when I photographed their engagement session in October 2019. Their original wedding date was scheduled for May 2020, but unfortunately, Covid-19 had other plans.
After a year of waiting and hoping, the couple decided to move their date and location to the Berkshire Botanical Gardens. The Gardens offered a stunning backdrop for their spring wedding in 2021. The day was filled with joy, love, and unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime.
The wedding day started with a first look in the gardens, where Avra & Evans were able to have a private moment together before the festivities began. This was followed by a tisch and a bedeken inside the Center House. The Jewish ceremony took place inside the house, under their beautiful Chuppah due to the rainy weather. Despite the rain, the couple’s love shone bright, and their guests were able to witness the beauty of their union.
Dinner and dancing were held inside the Center House, where guests enjoyed the elegant and intimate setting. The couple’s family and friends came together to celebrate their union, and there was a crazy Hora during the dancing. Everyone let loose and had a great time, making the wedding a truly unforgettable experience.
Avra & Evans’ wedding at the Berkshire Botanical Gardens was an absolutely magical day. Despite the challenges that the pandemic brought, the couple’s love persevered, and they were able to have the wedding of their dreams. The beauty of the Berkshire Botanical Gardens provided the perfect setting for the couple to celebrate their love and start their journey as a married couple.
Berkshire Botanical Garden: The Perfect Venue for Your Next Event
If you’re looking for a stunning venue for your next event, look no further than Berkshire Botanical Garden. With over 24 acres of ever-changing colors and textures, this natural oasis has been called a “glistening community gem” by Great Gardens of the Berkshires author Virginia Small. Located just two hours from Boston and less than three hours from New York City, it’s a perfect destination for weddings, corporate retreats, and more.
The Berkshire Botanical Garden boasts dozens of unique garden areas, making it an ideal backdrop for outdoor ceremonies and events. Choose from intimate garden rooms or the Great Oval, the banks of the pond garden, or the classically beautiful Procter Garden with its early summer color palette of purples, pinks, and greens.
But it’s not just the gardens that make Berkshire Botanical Garden such a special venue. The historic 18th-century Center House, one of the oldest structures in Stockbridge, has recently been renovated and expanded. It now features a dramatic “living wall” entry foyer and elegant gallery spaces. The botanical library room and state-of-the-art teaching kitchen overlooking a reception/meeting area provide even more options for events. Custom Mack Lanterns lighting above stately tables repurposed from the building’s original old growth wood siding adds to the ambiance. The Center House can accommodate up to 80 seated guests, while larger groups of up to 125 guests can be accommodated under a tent in the Procter Garden adjacent to the Center House.
Berkshire Botanical Garden is the perfect setting for any event destined to be memorable. Its unique combination of iconic gardens, Berkshire history, and informal interior elegance will leave a lasting impression on your guests.
