Patsy and Paige’s wedding at Hancock Shaker Village
Patsy and Paige’s summer wedding at Hancock Shaker Village in the Berkshires was a truly stunning and memorable event. The couple and their wedding party began the day by getting ready at the luxurious Hotel on North in Pittsfield. The bride looked stunning in her gown, surrounded by her loved ones as they prepared for the big day ahead.
The ceremony was held inside the 1910 barn at Hancock Shaker Village, a beautifully restored and historic venue. The barn was decorated with soft lighting and rustic elements, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere. Though there were a few rain showers throughout the day, the ceremony went off without a hitch and the couple exchanged their vows surrounded by their loved ones.
After the ceremony, guests were invited to enjoy a reception under the tent, which was beautifully decorated. The tent provided the perfect setting for the couple’s first dance and the rest of the evening was filled with laughter, dancing, and celebration.
Despite the rain, Patsy and Paige’s summer wedding at Hancock Shaker Village was a true fairytale event. The couple and their guests will forever treasure the memories of this special day. The historic and rustic setting of the village and the beautiful decoration and arrangements made the day perfect and unforgettable.

The 1910 Barn at Hancock Shaker Village
Patsy and Paige had their wedding ceremony in the recently opened 1910 barn at Hancock Shaker Village. Fortunately they planned ahead because it rained super hard during the ceremony!
The complex consists of three buildings: the barn, erected on foundations built in 1880 and a superstructure built in 1910; a dairy ell built in 1939; and an equipment shed that was reconstructed by the museum. In 1879 the existing calf barn was destroyed in a fire, and new one was built in 1880. A brick-vaulted root cellar, located under the ramp leading to the hay mow, was incorporated into the new design.
In 1939 the wooden dairy ell was built by Pittsfield contractors following a plan prescribed by the Louden Farm Machinery Company. Today it serves as the museum’s Family Discovery Room. The equipment shed extending from the corner of the barn was reconstructed by the museum based on the original, which had to be demolished in the early 1960s. The granite watering trough just outside of the discovery room is from the Shirley, Massachusetts Shaker village, and was brought to Hancock in 1962.
