Extra busy this week!

OK, here are a few photos from three weddings over the last two weekends.

Sorry I haven’t been keeping this thing up to date, I’ve been busy putting albums together, editing photos, meeting with couples for next year, taking sailing lessons, giving computer lessons, gardening, and trying desperately to hang out with my family! I’ll be taking a vacation to Maine soon… much needed down time! Once I get my head on straight, I’ll post more images from each of these weddings.

First two - Kristin & Brian in Newport RI

Second two - Jessica & Michael in Albany NY

Third two - Tova & Pete in New Haven CT

Graphistudio Wedding Album Design

So here is a 30 page album I just finished putting together for Austin & Sarah Jane from last Saturday. Each image is a 2 page spread, so the first image is pages one and two. I’m also working on an album for Tova & Pete who’s wedding I shot last Sunday. I’ll post some photos or the slide show from their wedding later… I’m on my way to Jessica & Michael’s wedding in Albany today!

Striper Fishing

Hey all!

So I shot a wedding down in Newport this Saturday for Kitty & Brian, and I figured since I’m down on the coast, I might as well go fishing. We woke up at 4:45 on Sunday morning and drove to Point Judith where we chartered a boat for some good old fashion Striper Fishing! I’ve never been deep sea fishing before so a few friends of mine chartered the Lil’ Toot (yup, that’s the boats name)

Anyways, here are a few photos! BTW… All the Bass we caught were keepers. Nothing giant, but still a ton of fun!

That’s my good friend Ryan on the left. I shot his wedding last year, and now he and Jennifer are having a baby!

This is my wife’s cousin Leland. He’s holding a Bluefish.

Yes, that’s me telling someone how to take a picture with my camera. I really hate this photo, but it’s the only one of me with a fish!

Captain John of Lil’ Toot charters was great, and his first mate Brendon was really helpful and extremely knowledgeable. If your down near Newport and you haven’t ever gone deep sea fishing, I totally recommend it! (just make sure you take some motion sickness medicine!) Stanley Park

Here’s a wedding from Saturday in beautiful Stanley Park in Westfield MA. Austin and Sarah Jane had a nice small wedding with their close friends and family. It turned out to be an incredibly gorgeous day. A little hot but not unbearable!

Edge Hill Golf Course

Here’s a couple of images from last night during a wedding I shot at Edge Hill Golf Course in Ashfield, MA

The fireworks were a surprise for Kelly & Adam. It rained/misted all day, but the ceremony was still held outside and it was totally fun!

(I got completely soaked)

UPDATE: So I just finished the final edit and designed an album and I’m beat! I only posted a few shot of Kelly & Adams wedding for now. I promise there will be more AND I have 2 weddings this weekend… On Saturday I have a super early wedding in Westfield MA (tea party anyone?) andon Sunday, I’m driving down to New Haven CT for a wedding at The WoodWinds right on the coast! Next weekend I’ll be traveling to Newport RI for a wedding at the Naval Officers Club and a good friend of mine is flying out from Alaska and we’re going Striper Fishing! I’ve never fished out on the ocean and I’m totally excited! If I catch a huge fish, you’ll see it :)

Anyways, here’s how it’s done… I set the camera up on a tripod and took my flash off. It’s a pretty long exposure so I ran to the left and right and manually triggered the flash so Kelly & Adam were lit up. For the second shot I put the camera down on the ground and used the flash as a prop. I really wanted the barn in the shot, but directly to my left was a parking lot! Anyways, I’ll post more from this wedding later this week, and a few more of these killer firework shots!
