I spent Thanksgiving morning and the night before down in NYC with my amazing wife and two of our children to view the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. We went the night before to check out the balloons as they were filling up, and spent the morning 7 floors up on Central Park West with a birds eye view of the parade. What a view! My family and I just got back from camping for 5 days during the Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival in Ancramdale, New York. Malika and the kids have camped for the last 3 years before this, and I’ve only gone on day tickets to visit. But this year I had the weekend off and we made a family vacation out of it. And it was SUPER fun! What a great time. It totally dumped rain for the entire night on Friday and it was a messy mud pit everywhere, but it kinda made it even better! Here are a few photos I took with Malika’s point and shoot camera (I left my camera at home) The “No Whining” photo is on our 5 year old Zenith busking for money. He ended up making over $20 buks so he took his sisters out for ice cream

After a long 9 months, the newest edition has finally arrived! We had a very smooth homebirth with all of the kids and our wonderful friend Annie looking on. She was born at 5:14 pm on February 1st. Here are some photos, I’ll post more details later! Now introducing QUEST!

Why??
Why would you go out in this miserable cold? This is what I find myself asking as I bundle up the kids and myself in 33 layers of fleece, wool, and cotton. Why would you punish yourself or risk a miserable week of fevers and runny noses?
Why you ask?
To go sledding of course!
Christmas was great this year. The kids all had a good morning with ton’s of presents beneath the tree. We spent the morning with Jocelyn and Nana, then had Christmas dinner with the whole family. Here are a few photos of the kids with some gifts.
